(conceptual building proposal)

Jersey City, NJ

Exhibited at Center for Architecture, NYC

Selected by Surface Magazine for New Avant Guardian issue #68

The Bridge Museum is a building as well as a bridge. Gallery space provides a public forum for the display, discussion and retention of development proposals for Jersey City while spaning the Morris canal allowing pedestrian traffic to Liberty State Park. The schemes series of bent corrugations provides the structure for spaning the canal, defines programatic spaces, frames views and houses the buildings mechanical systems. The museum space occupies the heart of the site suspended above the canal featuring not only the content inside but is positioned to critically view the exterior context as well. Ultimately becoming a lens by which one may realize the intrinsic relationships between the environment and what we add to it.
